A comprehensive student productivity platform designed to help students manage their academic responsibilities, study resources, personal finances, and daily tasks from one centralized workspace.
StudyMate brings together essential student tools such as class scheduling, budget tracking, course materials, study planning, AI-powered exam preparation, and an AI study assistant within a single modern dashboard.
Students often rely on different applications to manage different parts of their daily life.
Class schedules may exist in one place, study notes in another, financial expenses in spreadsheets, and study planning through separate task or calendar applications. This fragmentation makes it difficult to maintain a clear overview of academic and personal responsibilities.
I wanted to create a unified platform where students could manage the most important parts of their student life from one place.
The goal was to build more than a simple task manager. StudyMate was designed as a Student Life Toolkit that combines productivity, academic organization, financial tracking, study resources, and AI assistance into one cohesive experience.
I built StudyMate as a centralized student productivity platform with a dashboard that provides quick access to the tools students use throughout their academic journey.
The platform includes:
Personal productivity dashboard
Budget and expense tracking
Class schedule management
Course material organization
AI-powered exam Q&A generation
Study task planning
Study progress tracking
AI study assistant
Search and filtering
Calendar-based planning
Study goals and progress tracking
Responsive dark-themed interface
Instead of switching between multiple applications, students can access these tools from a single workspace.
The dashboard acts as the central control panel for the entire application.
It provides students with an overview of their current activities and quick access to frequently used tools.
The dashboard includes:
Quick actions
Available tools
Study time overview
Weekly activity
Budget summary
Navigation to individual productivity modules
The design focuses on making frequently used actions immediately accessible while keeping the overall interface organized.
StudyMate is structured around several independent tools that work together as a unified platform.

Exam Q&A AI AssistantThis modular approach allows each feature to solve a specific problem while still being part of the same student workspace.
Managing personal finances is an important part of student life, particularly for students who need to track living expenses and stay within a limited budget.
StudyMate includes a dedicated budget management system where users can record and monitor their financial activity.
The dashboard provides an overview of:
Total income
Total expenses
Current balance
Recent transactions
Users can add transactions by specifying:
Transaction type
Amount
Category
Description
Transactions can also be edited or removed from the interface.
This transforms basic expense tracking into a structured personal finance workflow.
The Class Schedule module helps students organize their academic timetable.
Students can add classes with relevant information such as:
Course name
Day
Time
Location
Duration
The system provides a dedicated view for today's classes along with an overview of all scheduled classes.
Search and day filtering make it easier to locate specific classes.
The interface also highlights individual classes using different visual themes, making the schedule easier to scan.
Students often keep study resources scattered across bookmarks, cloud storage, messaging applications, and personal notes.
StudyMate provides a dedicated Course Materials section for organizing these resources.
Students can:
Add study materials
Categorize resources
Search materials
Store links
Organize course-related notes
Track when resources were added or accessed
For example, a student can maintain resources for subjects such as Data Structures and Algorithms while keeping relevant notes and external links together.
This creates a centralized academic resource library.
One of the main AI features of StudyMate is the exam question generator.
Students can configure an exam question based on:
Subject or topic
Question type
Difficulty level
Number of questions
The system then generates AI-powered questions based on the selected configuration.
The workflow is designed to be simple:

Practice & ReviewThis allows students to quickly generate practice material for exam preparation.
StudyMate also includes an AI-powered study assistant designed to provide interactive academic support.
The assistant can help with areas such as:
Study questions
Concept explanations
Mathematics and science problems
Programming concepts
Essay writing and proofreading
Language translation
Study planning
General academic guidance
The interface is designed as a conversational workspace where students can ask questions naturally rather than navigating through separate tools.
The Study Planner provides a structured way to organize academic tasks and track study progress.
Students can create study tasks and manage them through different views, including:
List view
Calendar view
Analytics
The planner also tracks productivity metrics such as:
Total tasks
Completed tasks
Completion rate
Planned study time
Weekly study goals
Monthly study goals
The progress section gives students a visual overview of their study goals.
For example:
Weekly Goal
0h / 20h
Monthly Goal
0h / 80h
As study activities are recorded, students can monitor their progress against their defined goals.
This turns the planner from a simple task list into a productivity tracking system.
Several modules include search and filtering functionality to make larger collections easier to manage.
For example, students can search:
Classes
Course materials
Study tasks
The Class Schedule module also provides day-based filtering, while the Study Planner provides task filtering.
These features become increasingly useful as the amount of user-generated data grows.
The interface was designed around a modern dark-themed productivity aesthetic.
The application uses:
Persistent sidebar navigation
Clear visual hierarchy
Card-based layouts
Color-coded modules
Interactive controls
Responsive components
Consistent spacing
Contextual icons
Progress indicators
Quick-action interfaces
Each major tool has its own visual identity while maintaining the overall StudyMate design system.
The sidebar provides persistent access to the main modules:
Dashboard Home
Budget Tracker
Class Schedule
Course Materials
Exam Q&A
Study Planner
Ask AIThis allows students to move between tools without losing the context of the overall platform.
A major design consideration was organizing multiple independent features without making the application feel complicated.
The application uses a central dashboard as the entry point, while each feature has its own dedicated workspace.

└── Ask AIThis keeps the application modular while maintaining a consistent navigation experience.
One of the main challenges was making several independent productivity tools feel like a single application.
Budget tracking, class scheduling, course materials, study planning, and AI tools have very different workflows.
I solved this by establishing a shared visual language and consistent interaction patterns across the platform.
Each module has its own functionality while following the same navigation, card, typography, and interaction structure.
The platform handles several different categories of information:
Financial Data
│
├── Income
├── Expenses
└── Transactions
Academic Data
│
├── Classes
├── Materials
└── Study Tasks
AI Data
│
├── Questions
└── Conversations
Keeping these different data models organized while maintaining a consistent user experience was an important part of the application architecture.
The main dashboard needs to summarize information from multiple modules.
For example, the dashboard can surface information related to:
Study time
Weekly activity
Budget
Available tools
This requires transforming raw application data into concise metrics that users can understand quickly.
StudyMate became a unified Student Life Toolkit that brings together academic organization, productivity, financial tracking, study resources, and AI assistance.
Instead of requiring students to maintain separate applications for different parts of their daily life, the platform provides a single workspace for managing these activities.
The project demonstrates experience with:
Productivity application design
Dashboard architecture
Task management
Calendar and schedule management
Financial data management
Course resource organization
AI-powered features
Data-driven interfaces
Search and filtering
Progress tracking
Responsive UI development
Modular application architecture
More importantly, the project demonstrates the ability to take a broad product idea and break it down into multiple interconnected features while maintaining a consistent user experience across the entire application.
